Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 28, 2026
This describes what Chatick stores, why it stores it, who else it is shared with, and how you get rid of it. It is written to match what the software actually does.
What we collect
Account
When you sign in with Google we receive and store your email address, name and profile picture. We also keep your interface language, and a phone number only if you enter one yourself. We never receive your Google password.
What you put in
Messages, tasks, comments, time entries, documents, notes, files and resources you create or upload. This is your working content — we store it so the service can show it back to you and to the people in your projects.
Technical
Standard server logs (IP address, browser, requested pages, timestamps) kept for security and debugging, and an authentication token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. Chatick does not use advertising cookies and does not run third-party analytics or trackers on the application.
Who else processes it
To run the service, data passes through a small number of providers:
- Anthropic — message content and related project data are sent to the language model so the AI dispatcher can summarise, route and answer. This is the core AI feature.
- Google — sign-in only; they confirm who you are.
- Cloudflare R2 — object storage for uploaded files and avatars.
- An email provider — to deliver invitations, notifications and digests.
- Hetzner — the servers in Germany where the database runs.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising. Nobody outside these providers gets access, except where the law requires it.
Public links are public
Chatick lets you publish a file, document, note, resource or message as a public link that works without signing in. Anyone with the link can read it, and search engines may find it if the link is posted somewhere public. That is the point of the feature — but it is your decision each time, and you can revoke any link, after which it stops working immediately.
Where it lives, and for how long
Data is stored on servers in Germany (EU). We keep your content for as long as your account exists. Deleted projects and companies are removed along with their files. Deleted documents and notes are recoverable for 7 days, then purged. Server logs are rotated regularly.
Backups
The database is backed up regularly so that a failure does not cost you your work. Backups are encrypted and kept on a retention window, which means a deleted item may persist in a backup for a short period after deletion before it ages out.
Security
- All traffic runs over HTTPS.
- Stored credentials in the "Resources" section are encrypted before they reach the database.
- Access inside a project is governed by roles, and every project holds its own scoped access token.
- Sensitive actions — deleting a project or a company — require explicit confirmation and notify every member.
No service can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise. If you find a vulnerability, please write to support@chatick.com — reports are welcome and taken seriously.
Your rights
Wherever you live, and specifically under GDPR if you are in the EU, you can:
- ask what we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct anything wrong — most of it you can edit yourself;
- delete your account and its content;
- object to processing, or ask us to restrict it;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, write to support@chatick.com. We answer within 30 days.
Children
Chatick is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
When this policy changes materially, the date above changes and the change is noted in the changelog.
